Conference Information

The conference cost includes your choice of workshops, lunch, the critique of one manuscript (no more than six pages), and the opportunity to enter nine writing contests. For additional cost, you may submit additional pages of a manuscript for critique.

Coffee and donuts will be available in the fellowship hall during registration. Lunch will be served in two shifts. You may skip lunch to attend a fifth workshop without change in conference fee.

We ask you to honor your choice of lunch or no lunch, but you will not be held to your workshop choices. The registration process helps us to estimate the size of the classroom needed for each workshop, and helps your leaders prepare their handouts, so please be as accurate as possible.

A bookstore will be set up for your participation. You may bring your published works to sell on commis- sion. Please price your books clearly, and present them to the bookstore during Registration. You can find a consignment sheet at the following link:

Keynote Address: "Beyond Publication--the Other Perks of Being a Writer"

We are delighted to announce that our own Evelyn Minshull will be returning to deliver the keynote address at the 21st annual Writing Success Conference. The author of 26 published books and numerous articles, short stories, poems, and plays, she was the director of this conference for many years.

Evelyn's books include Eve from Harpercollins, And Then the Rain Came from Thomas Nelson, Familiar Terror and Familiar Darkness from the Baker Publishing Group, Dinah and Women of the Ark from Guideposts, and The Sinister Swaps, The Greedy Auctioneer, The Disappointed Diva, and Mischief in Mason City from the Guideposts series of Church Choir mysteries.

She has also written many books for children, including the picture books Eaglet's World from Albert Whitman & Co. and The Cornhusk Doll from Herald Press. She also edited five collections of holiday readings for Abingdon Press.

Before her retirement, Evelyn taught english, art, and classes for gifted children at Commodore Perry School. Since her retirement, she has conducted over fifty week-long elderhostel workshops and taught at many conferences.
